Ah~
+ let's start with late December, and catching up with British panel show 'QI', having been introduced to it through TVTropes, of all things.So, basically... it's a quiz show where panelists and host alike constantly cycle through sounding moderately intelligent and sounding wildly inappropriate without so much as missing a beat?Oh yes, please.
The useless information is amazing to learn, as well! My god, how I love useless information. I cannot think of a single, solitary reason why I ought to know that the ozone layer apparently smells of geraniums, and yet...+ follow up with general curiosity, leading to checking out legal semi-drama 'Kingdom'; or, at least, as much of it is up on hulu thanks to awkward and burdening licensing issues keeping video releases in a state of utter chaos.It's the most laid-back legal "drama" I've ever seen, and I loved it to pieces for that very reason. The lack of gratuitous murders helps, since that's typically all you see in fictional American crime and court shows, and it does get a bit stale after a while.edit: hup, nevermind; found that mystical, magical yerterb account with the full three seasons.yesssss ♥
+ fond memories lead to rewatching little scattered snips of ABOFAL.And discovering a whole new level in having a love/hate sort of relationship with terrible puns.fatal floor oh my godddd
+ ... f-followed closely by the discovery that, oh hey, a sale was being run on the Jeeves and Wooster box set.Although in this case, I must admit... it's more a huge desire to see Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster that excited me so much about that particular purchase. I can't even imagine it, save that it sounds like it's just going to be every kind of amazing, you know?Although seeing the both of 'em in some of the glorious stories from Wodehouse's books ought to be a wonderful treat in general. Especially since it looks like 'Code of the Woosters' was snuck in there (as two episodes?) and fuck yeah cow creamer stealing. I cannot wait to see that creamer, as well; I know what I imagine it to look like, but man, to actually see it--(also, plz to have Bartholomew the 'vicious' little Scottie dog, okay)+ with all of that in mind, one of the local public television stations decided to surprise the fuck out of me with... well.ttp://www.njn.net/television/highlights/10january/stephenfryamerica.htmlIt's a lovely - albeit terrifying - coincidence, I'd say....
Honestly, I cannot possibly think of any better ways to have spent my free time this past month. There's just nothing that can compare.
edit 01.19:: wh- what
Tonight's Bones rerun #2 = "The Girl in the Gator" = oh hullo Gordon WyattReally?
If I weren't using this man as a much, much needed distraction, I might be a little flustered by all of this.
